Are you ready for new perspectives and an intercultural experience?

Fridays for Future, Black Lives Matter, the growing feminist movement. Young people around the globe are taking responsibility to create more inclusive and just societies.

KarlsAcademy is an international online academy designed to encourage participants to…

  • learn about diversity and inequalities
  • reflect on personal experiences with diversity and inequalities
  • meet participants from all over the world and discuss their ideas and experiences
  • create social impact through learning about methods for project management

Through a series of live sessions (lectures, workshops, presentations, inspiration sessions) and tasks for self-study, this programme will give you the opportunity to explore multiple perspectives and realities and empower you to take on social challenges. The workload for the full academy programme will be about 35 hours and all live sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams.

You will learn about culture, identity, and privilege, as well as discuss topics such as gender and sexual identities, interfaiths dialogue, and then get to plan your own project idea related to those topics. By doing so, you will learn how to fight inequalities and create social impact.

Optional: Because we are cooperating with Karlshochschule International University, it is possible to acquire 3 ECTS points for your university studies. To do so participants will have to complete extra tasks that entail thoroughly developing a project idea and writing a project report. The expected additional workload for acquiring the ECTS is 55 hours.
